NEW TEST ENGINEER ROLE FOR A LEADING ORGANISATION IN EAST HAMPSHIRE!
Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer of DC-DC converters, AC/DC power supplies, and wound magnetic products, they are seeking a Test Engineer to join its Engineering Department. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the successful candidate will work with design, commissioning, and calibration of Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE).
Responsibilities for the Test Engineer:
- Support the introduction of MPS-designed products into Celab’s Production environment.
- Develop Computer Aided Test (CAT) programs.
- Design Verification Testing (DVT) of electrical, EMC, mechanical, and environmental performance on new products.
- Liaise with Design Engineers (UK and North America based) to resolve problems found during Test / DVT.
- Safety assessments and testing.
- Generation of test plans and reports.
Requirements for the Test Engineer:
- Formal qualification equivalent to an HND in electronics or related discipline.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience of laboratory-based functions such as product testing and soldering.
- A good communicator, working with multiple departments at sites across the globe.
- Self-motivated and a willingness to learn.
- Willing to travel as required.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a team. They will be IT literate and have a strong attention to detail. They will be flexible in their approach to work and willing to travel as required.
