Legal & Compliance Officer – Cambridge
Are you a proactive legal professional with a commercial mindset and a passion for compliance? We are seeking a Legal & Compliance Officer to join a leading technology company specialising in thermal imaging, night vision, and augmented reality systems.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring robust governance, managing legal risk, and maintaining compliance across global operations. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including engineering, HR, and commercial teams, providing practical legal advice and oversight.
Key Responsibilities – Legal & Compliance Officer – Cambridge

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supply, distribution, licensing, NDAs, and consultancy agreements

Lead compliance with laws and regulations such as GDPR, export controls, and corporate governance requirements

Develop and maintain internal compliance policies, conduct audits, and deliver staff training

Advise on employment law matters and support HR in policies, contracts, and employee relations

Support intellectual property management, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets

Coordinate with external legal advisors and manage corporate governance activities
Required Experience – Legal & Compliance Officer – Cambridge

5+ years in commercial law and compliance or regulatory roles

Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts

Knowledge of legal and compliance frameworks, including GDPR

Understanding of export controls and international trade regulations
