NEW ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN ROLE FOR A LEADING ORGANISATION IN WEST BYFLEET, SURREY!
We are currently seeking an Assembly Technician to join our client based in West Byfleet, Surrey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building all chassis/tank variants within the company portfolio of products, ensuring that they meet the correct standard and revision and comply with all health & safety and quality standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high degree of tidiness and cleanliness in the workplace, reporting any materials shortages within the cell, and completing builds within the timescale dictated by the production schedule.
Key Responsibilities for the Assembly Technician role:
- Building of all chassis/tank variants within the company portfolio of products, to the correct standard and revision, in compliance with all health & safety and quality standards.
- Ensure that all build and quality documentation is filled out correctly.
- Maintain the workplace with a high degree of tidiness and cleanliness, using 5S disciplines.
- Reporting any materials shortages within the cell.
- Completion of the build within the timescale dictated by the production schedule.
- In process quality inspections of all electro-mechanical assemblies, in line with quality guidelines.
- Ensuring all ESD control measures are adhered to.
Experience required for the Assembly Technician role:
- Ability to read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, circuit diagrams, specifications, bills of material, and other written or pictorial instructions/ procedures to accurately assemble products.
- Experience in using a variety of hand tools to aid in the assembly of products.
- Ability to perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Ability to identify defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
- Experience of working in accordance to specific quality and health and safety processes and procedures.
- Skilled at soldering to a high standard.
