Our client, a leading manufacturer of detection and measurement instrumentation are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their team based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This job will involve providing support to approximately 140 users that are based both in the UK and overseas and will enable you to use and develop skills across a range of systems.
Key responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer job:
- Providing 2nd Line support to users
- Answer support requests, create and manage support tickets
- Identify appropriate solutions to resolve technical issues
- Assist in development of IT systems and internal processes
Key skills / experience required for the IT Support Engineer job:
- Solid understanding of Microsoft environments
- Good understanding of TCP/IP networks
- Experience of:
- VMware or HyperV
- Windows Server
- Office 365 ecosystem
- Endpoint protection systems
- Backup solutions
- Aruba / Cisco Switch configurations
- Firewalls
