We’re looking for a Senior Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Herefordshire to join an innovative engineering team making advanced power amplifiers used in some of the most demanding electronic systems out there. This is a role for someone who loves working with their hands, takes pride in doing things right, and enjoys helping others succeed.
Senior Electro-Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities:
- Assembling power amplifiers, sub-assemblies, and full systems from detailed build documents
- Making sure everything is built right first time, meeting exacting quality standards
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members to keep the team performing at its best
- Working closely with engineering and quality teams to solve problems and improve processes
- Keeping accurate records of everything you do
Senior Electro-Mechanical Assembler Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in electro-mechanical assembly—ideally with complex electronics
- Skilled in IPC 610 soldering (current certification required)
- Experience with rework and PCB assembly
- Familiarity with IPC standards like J-STD-001, IPC 620, or IPC-7711/7721 is a plus
- Someone who’s detail-oriented, reliable, and proud of their work
- Previous experience mentoring or leading others would be great
