Mechanical Design Engineering in our world is the 3 design, development, testing and simulation of a physical product or system within a research and development environment. It sounds obvious but not all recruitment organisations know this.
Not all recruitment organisations can picture the physical product and understand the complexities of designing using different materials (sheet metal, plastic injection moulding, composites, etc.). They don’t understand the transferability of designing around moving parts, or packaging / housing electronic enclosures, or the difference between designing low volume or high volume manufactured products.
