Job Description

 

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Manager to oversee our production operations. The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all areas of manufacturing, ensuring that production meets output and quality goals while adhering to safety guidelines. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strategic approach to manufacturing processes, including a working manufacturing knowledge of Lean systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing plant.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
  • Supervise production staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Implement and maintain quality control standards to achieve production targets and ensure product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, supply chain, quality assurance) to improve manufacturing processes and resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor production metrics, analyse data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

 

Experience / Skills and Qualifications

 

Essential

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficient in using manufacturing software and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.

 

Desirable

 

  • Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience in implementing automation and technology in manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards.
