  • Main Purpose of Job: To project manage new consumer safety products and product variations from design, through manufacture and launch including product collaterals and certification to national and international standards to achieve the specified project timescales.

 

  • Project manage the launch of new products and product variations as follows:
    • Establish and lead multi-disciplined project teams for the design, manufacture and supply of new consumer safety products to the market.
    • Develop project management deliverables including project and communication plans, action and risk registers.
    • Report progress and highlight risks including identification of opportunities for recovery at the earliest possible stage.
    • Project manage the development/amendment of collaterals for all new products and product variations, ensuring collateral drawing packs are uploaded to the factories within the planned project timescales.
    • Ensure that the preparation, submission and product certification and/or cross listing to national and international standards is completed to the required timescales for all new products and product variations.
    • Ensure production and supply chain readiness in line with the project timescales.
    • Act as the focal point for all project related Customer issues.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Chinese Speaking
  • Highly motivated, flexible, professional and dynamic, with excellent team working skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in Project Management methodology and execution, preferably within a consumer safety product environment
  • Preferably qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.

Supplementary Roles: The nature of operations is such that on occasions, all employees are expected to tackle short-term assignments, appropriate to their abilities. In this job, these are most likely to involve such tasks as assisting the wider Operations team in times of high workload or where there is a shortage of labour due to absence.
