Electronic Test Technician
Quality Assurance Biel, Switzerland
Description
For our High Power Test team based in our location in Biel, Switzerland, we are recruiting an experienced Electronic Test Technician.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the prototype tests:
- Implement test program according to requirements
- Test prototypes
- Use of automatic testing equipment
- Collect test data and provide feedback
- Support Failure analysis of defective products (customer returns or from production): visual inspection, electrical inspection, X-Ray etc.
- Conduct manual bench work with test equipment, assembling, soldering
- Perform maintenance/repair of laboratory equipment (jigs, test fixtures, load board)
Required Education and work experience:
- trained Electronics Technician (Successful completion of the 4-year electronic apprenticeship. “Elektroniker” or equivalent training)
- English language: speaking, writing, and reading skills in an international environment.
- Experience working with IGBT and power electronic is a plus
Professional expertise:
- Good knowledge in electronics
- Usage of measuring, analysis, and soldering equipment
- Set-up and installation of test bench
- Reading and understanding of schematics, diagrams, bill of materials
- Experience with Automated Testers
- Experience in basic programming
- Basic PCB Layout experience is a plus
- Experience with troubleshooting, fault investigation and reporting
- Good handling of documentation
- Ability and willingness to identify and solve problems.
