Electronic Test Technician

Description

For our High Power Test team based in our location in Biel, Switzerland, we are recruiting an experienced Electronic Test Technician.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the prototype tests:
• Implement test program according to requirements
• Test prototypes
• Use of automatic testing equipment
• Collect test data and provide feedback
• Support Failure analysis of defective products (customer returns or from production): visual inspection, electrical inspection, X-Ray etc.
• Conduct manual bench work with test equipment, assembling, soldering
• Perform maintenance/repair of laboratory equipment (jigs, test fixtures, load board)

Required Education and work experience:

• trained Electronics Technician (Successful completion of the 4-year electronic apprenticeship. “Elektroniker” or equivalent training)
• English language: speaking, writing, and reading skills in an international environment.
• Experience working with IGBT and power electronic is a plus

Professional expertise:

• Good knowledge in electronics
• Usage of measuring, analysis, and soldering equipment
• Set-up and installation of test bench
• Reading and understanding of schematics, diagrams, bill of materials
• Experience with Automated Testers
• Experience in basic programming
• Basic PCB Layout experience is a plus
• Experience with troubleshooting, fault investigation and reporting
• Good handling of documentation
• Ability and willingness to identify and solve problems.

• Maintain organization at the workplace
