Octagon Group are currently partnered with a world-leading technology provider of energy and sustainability solutions to hire a talented Senior Software Engineer – C# / C++ within their Technology Centre in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Within this role you will work in C#, C++ and a host of supporting languages on one of the company’s core visualisation tools which is used by customers all over the world. As part of a wider team of talented engineers you will play a crucial role within the business, developing and maintaining a range of features to support the company’s core application, including complex algorithm development and 3D graphical modelling. You will ensure that the application and supporting tools are running to a high standard and have the opportunity to work with external customers to ensure that the company are able to provide innovative and sustainable solutions to meet their needs.
Requirements for the Senior Software Engineer – C# / C++ in Abingdon Oxfordshire:
- Strong commercial development experience in C#, C++, or both
- An analytical approach to software development and a solid grasp of mathematics
- Experience in working on a range of software components including user interface design/development
- Full SDLC experience including maintenance and unit testing
- Knowledge of 3D geometrical concepts or prior data structure modelling advantageous
- A willingness to learn new skills and gain exposure to additional software languages
