NEW TEST & COMPLIANCE ENGINEER – CE MARKING / EMC JOB AVAILABLE IN HUNTINGDON, CAMBRIDGESHIRE
A leading research and development organisation based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, are seeking an experienced Test & Compliance Engineer – CE Marking / EMC to join their expanding organisation. This company design and manufacture electro-mechanical instrumentation, they have teams in over 70 countries, and all R&D / production is UK based. We are seeking a Test & Compliance Engineer – CE Marking / EMC to join the R&D team.
As a Test & Compliance Engineer – CE Marking / EMC you will be responsible for product testing and getting products through various certification standards, predominantly CE marking.
You will work closely with test engineers and technicians to ensure new products meet requirements. This is a senior level position with opportunity to lead a small team, whilst remaining ‘hands on’.
Skills / Experience required:
- Experience in taking products through CE certification / marking.
- Experience in meeting ATEX / IECx approval would be useful but not beneficial.
- Hands on test engineering experience – EMC, RFI, electromechanical product testing.
- A technical background in mechanical or electronics engineering.
- Exposure to any of the following would be useful but not essential: TuV, MCERTS, FMEA, FEA, mechanical assembly, 5S Lean Manufacturing, or ISO9001
