New ASIC Design Engineer position with a leading semiconductor company based in Whiteley, Hampshire. They are a market leader in providing IC products and system solutions for display applications.

The ASIC Design Engineer will be responsible for defining, designing and supporting next generation capacitive touch controller integrated circuits.

Key responsibilities of the ASIC Design Engineer job:

  • Generation and verification of the RTL and Netlist views of touch controller ICs in deep submicron CMOS processes, 55nm and beyond
  • Ensuring complete device integration, including analogue, digital IPs, memories, IOs and passives as required
  • Conducting full IC specification to Final Netlist activities, including ownership for the validation/characterisation upon silicon arrival
  • Defining the implementation and simulation strategies for optimal Mixed Signal IC execution (Design and integration)

Key skills / experience required for the ASIC Design Engineer job:

  • Expertise in VHDL and Verilog RTL Languages
  • Experience of Mixed Signal design
  • Working knowledge of Synopsis and Cadence tool suites and Matlab
  • Good scripting skills (perl, sed, awk, tcl, C)

Graduates with a relevant degree will also be considered for this position.
