A market leading research and development company are looking to add a Operations Manager to their growing team in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
As a Operations Manager you will be responsible to ensure the production operations meet the demands of the business for product quality, on-time delivery, inventory levels, cost, and team development. Policies and procedures need to be followed to ensure output and cost-effectiveness is maximised. You will lead with passion and conviction and oversee the following teams: production, production planning, purchasing, material control, shipping, quality improvement and test development.
Main duties for Operations Manager:
- Day-to-day operational management of production assembly and supported departments including management and planning of staffing requirements such as recruitment, manpower planning and overtime requirements
- Provide support to HR to evaluate operative performance, make recommendations on remuneration, assess training requirements, and deliver continuous development of staff
- Responsibility for adherence to ISO9001 procedures for manufacturing operations including carrying out internal ISO9001 audits of manufacturing operation
