Octagon Group are currently working with a global energy technology company with offices in the Santa Giulia district of Milan who are seeking a talented HPC Software Engineer C++ to join their team.
Within this role you will work on the development of one of the company’s core seismic imaging applications, utilising high performance computing techniques as part of a talented team of engineers, geophysicists, and mathematicians. You will be responsible for implementing highly complex algorithms and managing the overall architecture of the company’s HPC software. This is an excellent opportunity for a High-Performance Computing (HPC Software Engineer C++) to utilise their expertise in a challenging and technically complex role, based within the company’s site in Milan.
Requirements for the HPC Software Engineer C++ role:
- Professional C++ and CUDA development experience for high performance computing environments
- Exposure to Parallel computing, performance profiling and CPU/GPU optimisation
- MSc level education in a relevant Computing, Mathematics or Physics subject area
- Strong level of knowledge in applied mathematics including numerical methods and linear algebra
- An interest in working with cutting-edge high-performance computing technologies
