JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Cathode Assembly Technician

RESPONSIBLE TO: Clean Room Supervisor

SCOPE: Assemble and manufacture precision parts for Travelling Wave Tubes adhering to the required processes and schedule.

MAIN DUTIES

Assembly and manufacture of high precision Cathodes for Travelling Wave Tubes.

Adhere to safe working practices in the department.

Ensure all activities within the department are carried out in accordance with documented process, specification and quality requirements.

Ensure that all processes are fully documented.

Fine mechanical assembly specialist parts using microscopes.

Pot cathode Assemblies to TMD process.

Carry out Emission testing of Cathode assemblies.

Carry out Pre Glow test of Cathode assemblies.

Keep updated record of activities as required by Clean Room procedures.

Ensure that work areas, plant, tools and test gear are kept tidy, safe, maintained and calibrated.

Train new and existing staff, support cross training and be prepared to be cross-trained.

To perform his/her duties with respect to all Company Procedures.

To undertake any other task, that may be reasonably requested.
