Role Overview for the Field Service Engineer role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be the frontline support for our customers, ensuring seamless operation, troubleshooting, and technical guidance. Your responsibilities will include:
- On-site Repair & Maintenance: Delivering hands-on support for our equipment at customer locations.
- Telephone Technical Support: Assisting customers remotely in diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Customer Training: Providing guidance and training sessions as needed.
- Installations & Acceptance: Overseeing installation processes from planning to customer sign-off.
- Documentation & Improvement: Maintaining comprehensive records and identifying areas for enhancement in products and processes.
- Collaboration & Support: Working closely with various teams, including Sales, Product Engineers, and Engineering, to facilitate cohesive support and growth.
Requirements for the Field Service Engineer:
- Education & Experience: Technical qualification in Electronic or Electrical engineering with broad engineering knowledge.
- Technical Skills: Experience in mechanical systems, machine tools, and optical/laser technologies is advantageous.
- Mobility: A clean driving license and willingness to travel extensively internationally.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Ability to analyze complex issues, break them down, and resolve them systematically.
