The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Repair Technician to join a specialist engineering team. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and testing electronic equipment to component level.
You will play a key role in ensuring equipment is fully functional, compliant, and ready for use, supporting the delivery of essential services.
Key Responsibilities
- Fault finding and diagnosis of electronic units down to component level
- Repair and testing of electronic assemblies and units
- Ensuring all equipment meets safety and compliance standards
- Supporting engineering activities including modifications and upgrades
- Maintaining workshop tools, test equipment, and spares
Requirements
- Experience in electronics repair and component-level fault finding
- Strong understanding of electronic testing and diagnostics
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant role
- Electronics or electrical qualification (RF experience desirable)
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance
Desirable
- Experience with RF or radar systems
- Background in defence, aerospace, or similar regulated environments
- Experience with reverse engineering or complex electronic assemblies
