Octagon Group are currently partnered with a leading cybersecurity organisation in the Nottingham, Nottinghamshire area which provides services internationally for the government and defence sectors. The company have been established for more than 30 years and boast a rich history of technological innovation. The company are now seeking to continue along in their transition into a DevOps/Agile working environment with the addition of an Agile Scrum Master.
The Agile Scrum Master role:
Within this role, you will manage several teams across multiple ongoing projects in driving Agile practices within the business. You will act as an Agile subject matter expert, creating processes and implementing new ways of working across the wider business. You will act as both a coach and technical leader, providing specific expertise on individual projects and contributing towards environmental changes across the business. As well as overseeing the activities of the software team, you will work closely with sales professionals and Product/Portfolio Managers to identify and facilitate new opportunities for the business and its customers.
Requirements for the Agile Scrum Master role:
· Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a Scrum Master or Agile lead role
· Experience in transitioning teams for traditional methodologies such as Waterfall to Agile/DevOps environments
· 5+ years’ experience in agile teams in Scrum Master, Coach or Product Owner/similar capacities
· Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to influence/implement team culture and processes
· A solid understanding of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
