This company designs, produces and markets high-speed network electronics for telecommunications technology. They are at the forefront of providing equipment to the world’s telecoms network operators, network providers, systems suppliers, laboratories, and network infrastructure. To date, they have secured and delivered orders from over 600 customer sites in 68 countries across the world and work with some of the biggest businesses across the globe. They are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Stevenage. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Build yearly sales plans in collaboration in the UK, USA and Canada. Build and develop existing clients, new enquiries / new client development. 
  • Responsible for organising and conducting successful customer trials that lead to deals.
  • It is expected that there will be some international travel to visit new and existing customers, this will be roughly once per quarter. 
  • Manage key accounts and identify opportunities for internal referrals. 
  • Provide input to the creation of outbound marketing collateral that is identified as being critical to the sales of the business.

The ideal Business Development Manager will have the following: 

  • Strong experience as a BDM in business to business sales.
  • Enterprise sales experience.  
  • Experience in technology, ideally with knowledge of IT software, telecommunications, IP networking, cloud technology or similar. 
  • Ability to manage new and existing clients across multiple countries. 
  • Exposure to managing clients in USA / Canada would be beneficial but not essential.
