Octagon Group are currently working with a global energy technology company who are seeking a talented C++ HPC Software Engineer to join their team in Milan, Lombardy.
Within this role you will work on the development of one of the company’s core seismic imaging applications, developing and maintaining the infrastructure which supports the company’s high performance computing projects. You will sit within a talented team of engineers, geophysicists, and mathematicians. You will be responsible for implementing highly complex algorithms and managing the overall architecture of the company’s HPC software. This is an excellent opportunity for a High-Performance Computing (C++ HPC Software Engineer) to utilise their expertise in a challenging and technically complex role, based within the company’s site in Milan, Lombardy.
Requirements for the C++ HPC Software Engineer role:
- 5+ years of C++ and CUDA development experience for high performance computing environments
- An excellent grasp of numerical software and complex algorithms
- Experience with the following techniques: parallel computing, performance profiling and GPU/CPU optimisation
- MSc level education in a relevant Computing, Mathematics or Physics subject area
- An interest in working with cutting-edge high-performance computing technologies
