Exciting new Hybrid Certification Manager role based in Abingdon!
Our client based in Abingdon is part of a group of organisations dedicated to providing safety, health and environmental technologies to support organisations across multiple industries. They focus on gas detection by understanding current and future market requirements and responding accordingly. Their vision is to protect people and the environment from gas hazards by providing both single and multi gas monitors, enabling personal and larger-scale monitoring. They have exciting opportunity for a Certification Manager in a Hybrid capacity who would be responsible for interfacing with the notified bodies (certification companies) and drive through improvements to development processes to make the approach to certification easier and more predictable.
They have a large number of products which are certified for:
- Hazardous Area (flameproof and intrinsic safety)
- Functional Safety (SIL rated)
The Certification Manager’s job is to act as a focal point for all matters certification: –
- To organise and run internal audits.
- To package up data for the cert bodies to perform their task.
- To involve technical staff in resolving issues identified by the bodies.
- Act as an independent reviewer where required.
- Helping to organise the product modification, retest and recertification (ECNs).
Experience for the Certification Manager role required:
- Good grounding in development quality.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in technical and quality managerial context
- Haz Area – familiar with EN 60079 family of standards ATEX and IECEx.
- Functional Safety – familiar with IEC61508 or related standards from other sectors
- Open to experienced Compliance/Quality experience
