NEW CONTRACT FPGA DESIGN ENGINEER JOB AVAILABLE NEAR EDINBURGH SCOTLAND (West Lothian / Stirlingshire region). This will be outside IR35.

A new FPGA Design Engineer job has recently come available on a contract basis for an initial 6 months with an established research and development company near Edinburgh, Scotland. The growth of the business continues with an additional requirement for a Contract FPGA Design Engineer. 

The successful hire will be responsible for creating high-speed FPGA designs using VHDL. You will work closely with digital design engineers and PCB design engineers to create new product features for complex electronics.

Responsibilities of the Contract FPGA Design Engineer job:

• Creating new high speed FPGA based digital designs and/or modifying existing designs to support delivery of new product features as per specification.
• Estimating timescales based on an outline of the requirements and then delivering to those timescales.
• Work as part of a multi-discipline product design team to deliver new products and enhancements to our existing market leading portfolio.
• The successful candidate will be experienced and able to innovate and deliver in a fast paced and busy environment, and enjoy working on leading edge digital designs.

Skills / Experience required for the Contract FPGA Design Engineer job:

• Proven VHDL experience on high speed designs with complex clocking architectures
• Ability to define digital architectures from a product specification
