Job Description
We have a great opportunity for a Design Manager to join our engineering team at Stannah.
This role is responsible for managing a primarily electronic design team covering hardware and software functions to deliver projects in accordance with the product roadmap.
As the Design Manager you are also responsible for direct project design to ensure class-leading products fulfil market requirements and achieve project milestones.
In the Design Manager role, the successful candidate will work directly in support of the New Product Introduction Manager to ensure project deliverables are achieved on-time.
We are looking for a Design Manager who has proven technical delivery of safety-critical electromechanical products and is highly proficient in product design. This is a great role for an individual who has an electronic / hardware background within the engineering or manufacturing industry, with proven team management experience.
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate you can work effectively with direct or in-direct task allocation. It is key to the role that you can maintain a balanced opinion and outlook and are able to demonstrate you can communicate effectively to all business functions and levels.
This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from from home and in the office.
Candidates must be based within commuting distance of Andover to attend the site on a daily basis, to ensure collaborative working with the team and other departments.

Responsibilities:
Establish, direct and implement engineering design
Manage cross-discipline engineering design team
Delivery of technical elements in accordance with project milestones
Generate work breakdown structures and resource requirements
Identify and track milestone deliverables
Generate and maintain project time and resource plans
Ensure alignment with all project stakeholders
Ensure internal and external standards are adhered to
Lead and contribute to project technical reviews and ensure definitive outcomes
Identify and mitigate project technical risk
Communicate project information effectively to sponsors and stakeholders
Requirements:
Degree qualified in an engineering discipline or equivalent
