Collins Aerospace Systems, part of Raytheon Technologies, is on the lookout for a Electrical Design Engineer to join the team in Leighton Buzzard. The candidate should have a degree in aerospace or an electrical engineering subject.
The candidate will be supporting the design of electrical installations to be used on galleys for commercial aircraft.
This role is a Hybrid role with the requirement to be on-site 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Creating wiring diagrams using Zuken e3 Software.
- Creating electrical load analysis of full shipset of galleys
- Creating electrical installations using Catia V5 Software.
- Produce simple mock-ups on the shop floor to support inhouse testing
- Prepare design documentation that meets internal and customer standards
- Support aftermarket to introduce in-service modifications to products
- Participate in internal/ external design reviews on new products/ systems.
- Reviewing supplier data to ensure safe integration into our galley products Liaising with other systems to ensure an efficient design
Experience and Skills:
- Competent user of the incumbent Zuken e3 Software or other Wiring Diagram creation software.
- Or competent user of the incumbent CAD software Catia V5 or similar (Nx, Solidworks).
- Competent user of the data management system Teamcentre or equivalent (SmarTeam etc).
- A working knowledge of the principle of electrical installation and systems integration and design.
- Experience working with aircraft electrical systems (desirable)
- Experience of dealing with new product development and specification.
- A working knowledge of the various methods of manufacture of electrical and components and assemblies.
- Awareness of the certification framework within which the work is undertaken.
