OVERALL PURPOSE |

To carry out electronic development activities to support hardware development for aerospace and military applications |

|
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES |
||
|
· Design Power supply and mixed signal modules for use in military or aviation applications · Perform Analogue and/or Digital circuit design and Power Supply design · Perform Schematic Capture using ECAD software (Altium/ OrCAD / Mentor), have appreciation of PCB layout and work with PCB Draughtsman to create PCB parts and assemblies · Optionally to perform Embedded software development using C/C++ or FPGA development · Support Verification & Validation testing by creating test plans, test reports, setting up and performing tests. · Circuit Analysis and Simulation. · Design for Manufacture/EMC / Environmental / Reliability · To provide electrical / electronic support to design staff during development and testing of a range of products. · Investigate and provide reports on V&V and Qualification test failures and customer returns and queries. · Perform Component level testing on: software, populated PCBs, and electrical assemblies. · Fault finding to component level. · Support Production improvement actions, in resolving issues, assisting in creation of Acceptance Test Plans. · To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures. · To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.
