Octagon Group are heading up the recruitment for a unique Gobal R&D Engineering Director role in Bristol.
- £120,000 – £150,000 per annum (DOE)

We are looking for an Engineering Director to take an innovative electro-mechanical product manufacturer to the next level. Someone who can lead technical roadmapping and deliver high level above the process management / strategy, working with teams in the UK, USA and Canada. This company design systems which are used across Agriculture, Construction, Oil & Gas, law enforcement, and water industries. They have circa 200 employees across 3 location. The next generation of hardware products will involve software connected services, featuring IoT.
Engineering Director – skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Global leadership / Director level experience – with a track record in exec / c-suite level leadership,
- Agile Expertise – Agile Methodologies / Project Management.
- Technical Road-mapping, strategy and vision leadership capabilities.
- A technical background in Engineering, ideally Electronics or Software focused.
- Ability to communicate and manage internationally – USA, UK, Canada (some international travel will be required).
- Basic level DBS clearance will be required.
