What you’ll do:
- Ensure stable equipment performance by specifying operating procedures and PM schedules
- Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment uptime, mean time to repair, mean time between failure and reduce operating costs
- Undertake equipment installation and repair
- Equipment process documentation and calibration
- Monitor user activities in the clean room to ensure proper and safe operation of the tools
- Reach out and coordinate with external services to assist in any major equipment repairs and upgrades
- Liaise with equipment vendors in information and technology transfer
- Reduce operating costs through production scrap reduction and yield improvements
- Provide technical guidance and advice to equipment technicians and process engineers
- Design and procure machine modifications and improvements
- Training and mentoring of Equipment Technicians to ensure they are adequately equipped and trained to fulfill their function
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with semiconductor processing equipment and facilities including installation, preventative maintenance planning, and troubleshooting
- Experience of robotics, high vacuum, gas control systems, chemicals, pneumatics, PLC’s, software integration and control, calibration, electronics, control & instrumentation
- Experience in the selection, installation and maintenance of semiconductor processing equipment, preferably within growth, deposition, etch or photolithography processing
- Experience of working in a cleanroom environment
- Systematic problem solving
- Experience working and collaborating closely with cross functional teams internally and externally with suppliers
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic product development environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Exstensive , versatile experiences working in a cleanroom semiconductor manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Optics or Electrical Engineering
- Startup and commissioning of new cleanroom facilities
