As the Facilities Lead at for our client based in Eastbourne, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining their site facilities and plant. Your mission is to ensure a safe, cost-effective, and legally compliant working environment for all staff and activities. Additionally, you will lead a team of facilities staff, overseeing existing facilities, and driving specific site improvement projects.

Main Responsibilities for the Facilities Lead role:

• Ensure site facilities, plant, and infrastructure compliance with legislation and safety standards.
• Lead the maintenance team, planning and implementing routine activities efficiently.
• Build key external partnerships and review contracts for energy, security, waste, and other services.
• Manage access control, security, and environmental issues on site.
• Plan, justify, and implement approved projects, focusing on cost reduction and efficiency.
• Conduct annual staff appraisals, identifying development needs for team members.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience for the Facilities Lead role:

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Proven experience in managing a team effectively.
• Budget responsibility and cost management expertise.
• Knowledge of facility management best practices and regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
