A leading research & development organisation are seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team on their site in Livingston, West Lothian.
In this FPGA Design Engineer job you will be working closely with a multi-disciplined R&D team on the development of complex scientific electronic products and systems.
Key responsibilities of the FPGA Design Engineer job:
- The design and development of specified projects / products or sub-systems
- Produce, maintain and record design documentation
- Advise in the specification of electronic aspects of custom designed systems
- Ensure that projects undertaken comply with international standards and complete the necessary records to meet European requirements for self-certification of Company products (CE mark)
- Remain knowledgeable about state-of-the-art electronics technology and products
Key skills / experience required for the FPGA Design Engineer job:
- RTL and VHDL or Verilog experience
- Experience in a design and manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques with design for manufacture and assembly skills
- Experience of designing component parts and assemblies
