Octagon Group are working with a world-leader in the design of satellite communication systems, based in Reading, Berkshire, our client is experiencing a period of aggressive growth and is seeking passionate, talented individuals to be a part of this. In line with this growth, the company are seeking to expand their software team and require a Full Stack Software Engineer – JavaScript / Python.
Responsibilities of the Full Stack Software Engineer – JavaScript / Python role:
Reporting to the Director of Software in Reading, Berkshire, and working closely with multiple engineering teams, you will focus on the development of a cloud-based satellite terminals. This includes various web interfaces and supporting APIs which allow for high-speed communications amongst end users.
We are seeking a creative individual with a passion for solving technological problems and a strong technical background to join this exciting, growing team in Reading, Berkshire.
Requirements for Full Stack Software Engineer – JavaScript / Python role:
- Degree level education in a relevant in a software, computer science, or engineering discipline.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and other web scripting languages such as HTML/CSS
- A solid understanding of cloud-based software development and CI/CD pipelines, particularly AWS
- Knowledge of Python and other general-purpose languages
- A passion for creating slick, user-friendly UI/UX application features
