They are excited to expand their team and are looking for a Graduate Market Analyst based in Edinburgh or able to relocate to Edinburgh, who has a passion for business, market analysis and an interest in technology development. They want someone who can take responsibility of the market data coming into the business and can proactively explore new technologies and new business opportunities they can target and come up with new business strategies for the organisation.
About This Role
You will conduct market research and analysis at the industry, sector and customer levels and provide assessments and recommendations to support decision-making and strategy development.
You do not need prior product or industry technical knowledge to apply for this role – they are looking for someone who shares their values, can demonstrate the relevant business skills and is eager to learn.
Job Requirements
What will I be accountable for?
Providing market research data and analysis to the Business Development team, Customer Management team, as well as Senior Management. Analysis will include tracking leading and future technologies in key target markets as well as identifying and recommending specific market opportunities and tracking existing Plexus customer data.
You will also be responsible for compiling and analysing target account and customer revenue, and other financial statistics and logistical data as defined by the needs of the Market Sector team. Reporting may include aggregating, trending, forecasting, and identifying patterns. Maintain additional information on customer and target accounts, based on Market Sector requirements.

Education and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management, Business Information Systems, Finance or an Economics degree or similar.
• Knowledge of the technology industry is a plus but is not required.

• Experience in the technology development industry (doesn’t have to be medical)
• Project management skills
• Understanding of business concepts and financial analysis, cost models and contracts and negotiation.
• Quantitative analysis skills and ability to conduct business and financial research and analysis. Ability to understand, summarize and explain complex technical, technological and business concepts.
