We manufacture our board products in our Colchester, UK based factory to meet the highest level of inspection standards for long life cycle, reliable operation.
Our products are used by many of the world’s leading integrators within the Defence, Security, Aerospace, Telecommunications, Transportation, Medical and Industrial markets and are designed to be operated in a range of temperatures and environments from benign to extreme rugged.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of New Product Introduction as an Electronics Hardware Engineer, you will support the development of new board level products using the latest (often pre-release) components to deliver market driving products.
What will I be delivering?
The key responsibilities include:
- Digital Hardware and firmware design and development of processor-based products.
- Support and perform design of processor products from definition through to layout.
- Support design reviews including schematic and PCB layout.
- Supporting the design authority, from developing requirements and architecture, through to final verification testing.
- Support the creation of schematic and PCB design, ensuring the mechanical and thermal design comply with requirements/ schedule needs.
- Reporting of technical issues and progress, supporting the PMO (program management office) with inputs on schedule and risk management.
- Supporting the preparation and submission of technical work for review at lifecycle reviews.
- Perform and document analysis and development activities as directed by Design Authority or Head of NPI.
- Contribute to the required design and user documentation.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience
- Digital circuit design.
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
- Good communication skills.
Desirable skills
- Experience working with PC motherboard architecture, e.g., microprocessors (64bit), PCI Express, 100 Gbit Ethernet, advanced Memory.
- Programmable logic devices or FPGA.
- Embedded Software experience/appreciation.
- Experience with Intel or ARM chipset.
Technical skills and qualifications
- BEng/MEng/MSc in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or similar/equivalent discipline.
