Fire Alarm / AOV Installation Engineer – London & Surrounding Areas
I’m recruiting on behalf of a well-established client within the fire protection industry who is looking to expand their install team. They’re seeking an experienced Fire Alarm / AOV Installation Engineer to work on a variety of projects across London and surrounding areas, including both new build and occupied sites.

Key Responsibilities for the Fire Alarm / AOV Installation Engineer job:
- Installation of fire alarm and AOV systems to BS5839-1 standards
- First and second fix including containment, FP cabling, panels, and field devices
- Addressing field devices across multiple manufacturer protocols
- Interface relay and input wiring
- Working on a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial projects
Requirements for the Fire Alarm / AOV Installation Engineer job:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in fire alarm installation or as an electrical improver
- Strong understanding of BS5839-1, installation standards, and addressing protocols
- Comfortable with full installation, device configuration, and relay wiring
- FIA or Zzeus Level 3, 18th Edition, or panel-specific training advantageous
- Willingness to participate in out-of-hours callout rota (1 week in 11)
