A Lead Embedded Software Engineer job has become available for a company developing high-tech solutions within a safety critical environment.

They are growing their team in Coventry, West Midlands and are actively looking for a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to come in and direct the firmware team. You will need to be a strong embedded software development engineer, with strong leadership experience. You will spend 70% or 80% of your time in managing the team and 20% or 30% of your time on hands-on code development. Although the majority of your time will be spent on managing, you need to be a very confident in embedded software development.

To be a successful Lead Embedded Software Engineer you must have:

– Experience in embedded software development using C 

– Experience in developing firmware that directly controls the peripherals, CPU timers, memory allocation etc.

– RTOS experience

– Experience with 8BIT, 32BIT,M0+ and/or M33 processors

– Experience in leading a team and whilst remaining hands-on.
