Key responsibilities of the Lead Project Engineer job:
- Leading and mentoring an engineering team on complex projects
- Managing project timelines, deliverables, and technical standards
- Driving lean processes and design-for-manufacture (DFM) best practices
- Overseeing prototype development and testing
- Supporting team growth and collaboration across departments
Key skills / experience required for the Lead Project Engineer job:
- Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Strong background in design/manufacturing engineering, ideally in NPI
- Experience with lean tools like PFMEA, DMAIC, and process mapping
- Knowledge of optical or optomechanical systems would be beneficial
