Our client specializes in designing and manufacturing ultrasonic wind sensors, also known as anemometers or air-flow sensors. Their sensors utilize acoustic resonance to measure wind speed, direction, and temperature, making them unique and highly effective in various applications. Key Responsibilities: As a Materials Research Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Researching, evaluating, and recommending materials solutions for product design, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
- Conducting environmental tests to assess material properties and suitability for different weathering and operating conditions.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in current and future products by evaluating and selecting alternative materials.
- Analyzing production failures and field returns to identify design weaknesses and improve materials, components, and processes.
- Ensuring materials compliance with strict quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Skills and Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of chemistry and materials degradation.
- Robust post-graduate experience in a similar industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ASTM/ISO standard environmental tests.
