We are looking for a New Product Development Mannager for a leader in chemical-free disinfection solutions used across a wide range of applications to take ownership of our product innovation pipeline and guide new technologies from concept through to productions, based in Berkshire.
About the Role
As the Product Development Lead, you’ll be at the heart of our innovation process—turning market insights and technical requirements into successful, scalable products. You’ll manage end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, collaborating closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
Key Responsibilities of a New Product Development Manager

Lead NPD projects from initial concept, specification, and prototyping through to detailed design and production release.

Collaborate with Product Management to validate customer needs, market trends, and regulatory standards.

Consolidate requirements across multiple sectors to design innovative, compliant, and cost-effective UV system solutions.

Coordinate cross-functional NPI efforts to ensure aligned execution across all departments.

Contribute to the strategic planning and roadmap development for future product and service offerings.

Manage technical documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Drive continuous improvement across technical processes, tools, and team performance.

Mentor and develop team members to support their professional growth.
Essential Requirements:

Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering or technical discipline.

Proven experience leading NPD projects from concept to launch.

Strong systems thinking and design capabilities, with experience translating complex requirements into scalable solutions.

Demonstrated ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Skilled in mentoring and coaching technical talent.

Track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Self-starter with a proactive, results-driven attitude and adaptability to change.

Willingness to work on-site in Slough, 5 days per week.
Preferred:

Experience with UV purification or related technologies.

Strategic mindset with experience shaping product roadmaps.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.
- Understanding of mechanical design for pressure vessels or industrial cabinets, including materials and compliance.
