NPI Technician

                                       

The company is seeking a capable and professional NPI Technician to support local engineering staff in their design activities and Anaheim NPI Team with Test requirements.

                                                                                                                                  

The NPI Technician will also assist the engineering staff in their work, providing expertise in modification and re-work, prototype build and assembly, test and measurement, fault finding and repair.

 

Qualified Candidates will have:

 

Essential Skills

  • Re-work and modification of high density PCBs including fine pitch SMT and 0402 devices.
  • Understanding and experience of analogue and digital electronics
  • Good metalwork and construction skills, able to make and modify mechanical assemblies with hand tools.
  • Use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes and other electronics test equipment.
  • ONC/HNC (or equivalent) qualification in electronics or other relevant subject.
  • Practical, working IT knowledge.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to work co-operatively in a team environment.
  • Good understanding of Electronics Manufacturing Test requirements.

                                                                                        

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist hardware engineers by building and modifying boards according to their instructions.
  • Assist UK Engineering in building and bringing up new prototype hardware.
  • Assist Engineering Technician in maintaining engineering laboratory ensuring it is kept fully operational and maintained.
  • Perform test and measurement activities under engineering supervision.
  • Support and assist in testing requirements with the Anaheim Test Engineer
  • Fault finding of faulty Product within the UK Office
  • Perform other activities and responsibilities as directed.
