As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will be the driving force behind their Power Engineering and Electronics design activities. Your expertise will shape the future products, ensuring they remain competitive and relevant in today’s fast-paced market.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design cutting-edge automotive-grade inverter hardware, including semiconductor power modules (SiC and GaN), converters, gate-drivers, and capacitor modules.
- Characterize, test, and model key power electronic components and sub-assemblies.
- Lead power module qualification testing, adhering to industry and customer standards.
- Create technical documentation, including manufacturing packs and test procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest manufacturing techniques in Power Electronics.
- Utilize reliability, risk, and safety analysis tools for hardware evaluation.
- Simulate and evaluate electrical and thermal models.
- Collaborate with and exceed customer expectations.
- Represent the company as a product expert at events and meetings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- MEng/MSC Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (PhD with experience desirable).
- Extensive power electronics experience with a focus on wide-bandgap power module design.
- Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools like Anysy Simplorer, PLECS, Simulink, Matlab & LT/PSPICE.
- Proficient in 3D solid modeling software (Solidworks desirable).
- Experience with automotive inverter power-stages is preferred.
- Knowledge of Electric machine control theory is a plus.
- Familiarity with relevant automotive legislation and guidelines is desirable.
