A well-established research and development business are looking for a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
This is a hybrid role with the team working on site 3 days per week.
The Principal Embedded Software Engineer will be a key member of the R&D team, leading and investigating new technologies to develop the next generation of products whilst also supporting and improving existing products.
Key responsibilities of the Principal Embedded Software Engineer job:
- Provide leadership to a small team of software and electronic engineers whilst working collaboratively with the Engineering Manager
- Design and development of new product concepts and solutions including requirements specification and architectural definition
- Leading design projects and mentoring more junior team members
Key skills / requirements of the Principal Embedded Software Engineer job:
- Extensive experience of the full product design life cycle
- Solid experience of software programming (Embedded C)
- Experience running design projects and mentoring engineers / leading a small team
- Knowledge of electronics design processes and board bring up
