In line with this growth, the company are seeking to expand their software team and require a Python Software Engineer.
Responsibilities of the Python Software Engineer role:
Reporting to the Director of Software in Reading, Berkshire, and working closely with multiple engineering teams, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of a significant python application. You will actively contribute to architectural decisions, in regard to technology choice, security and application structure. Working with a range of software languages on various platforms and applications, you will help to ensure that the best engineering practices are being implemented effectively.
We are seeking a creative individual with a passion for solving technological problems and a strong technical background to join this exciting, growing team in Reading, Berkshire.
Requirements for Python Software Engineer position:
- Degree level education in a relevant in a software, computer science, or engineering discipline.
- Professional python development experience, O.O. and functional
- A good understanding of networking protocols
- Exposure to hardware or low-level programming advantageous
- Exposure to the Django web framework and Jupyter Notebooks
- Familiarity with Linux systems and Linux based Software Development
