New QA Electro/Mechanical Inspector 3 month contract job in Hayes inside IR35!

Position: QA Electro/Mechanical Inspector job

Reporting To: Quality Manager

Scope of Work

The QA Electro/Mechanical Inspector is responsible for inspecting products manufactured within the Equipment Division, including supplied components, products, and sub-assemblies.

Main Duties for the QA Electro/Mechanical Inspector job:

• Collaborate with QA Inspection, QA Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical, and Production Engineering teams to address quality issues.
• Perform electro-mechanical inspections on assemblies, sub-assemblies, supplied components, and products to meet company standards, drawings, and specifications promptly.
• Raise supplier reject notes, Non-Conforming Materials Reports, and Failure Rework Scrap Forms (FRSPs) for any non-conforming parts identified during inspections.
• Update process Photo-Flow check sheets when applicable.
• Manage workflow through the Inspection section to ensure production priorities are achieved.
• Ensure accurate information is recorded on the Sequel database for all materials presented for inspection.
• Prepare relevant information required for Quality Management Reports within agreed timeframes.
• Comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform any other related tasks as reasonably requested by the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities for the QA Electro/Mechanical Inspector job:

• Vet mechanical and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies for compliance with relevant IPC standards, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.

Qualifications

• IPC 610 / 620 Certified.
• ONC in Electrical/Mechanical Inspection.

Experience and Qualities

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Avionics or Defence Equipment Manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure quality standards are met.
