A world class manufacturer of ambient, emission and process monitoring systems are looking to add a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their growing team in Cambridge!
The company is currently going through a period of rapid expansion and has just completed a large investment project to expand the development and test facilities at the Cambridge location. They develop state-of-the-art complex products and are sold all over the world, with products and services catering to a wide range of industries and applications- including power plants, cement production, steel manufacturing and indoor air quality monitoring.
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will have a technical authority to contribute to and help lead the development of the software they need for their next generation of emissions, process and environmental monitoring instruments and data analysis infrastructure. They will also need you to help enhance and maintain software to support their existing range of products that use a wide range of underlying technologies.
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer must have:
- Experience in coding real-time embedded systems in C/C++ using both bare metal and RTOS approaches.
- Proven experience in developing complex real-time software for industrial systems
- Experience in Software across a wide variety of hardware platforms
- An appreciation of – or better still hands-on experience – of electronics would be an advantage
