Responsible for the modification and extension of the existing Nordson T&I software particularly in the area of imaging, machine control and x-ray systems integration
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain machine control software for Nordson Dage tools.
Transfer code into volume manufacture.
Support and debug field issues.
Any other reasonable duties.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
C/C++ development in a multi-threaded environment.
Software design and architecture experience
Use of appropriate code management and issue tracking tools.
Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
Customer facing experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team based environment
Communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
Customer focus.
Proactive approach to problem resolution.
A high degree of flexibility in a continuously changing environment.
Visual Studio 2015 or later.
C++ software development on 64-bit Windows platform.
Strong leadership, motivational and interpersonal skills.
Experience of developing software for control or interfacing to electro-mechanical systems (Embedded, PLC, etc.)
Good numerical skills.
Desirable:
Understanding of X-Ray inspection and materials testing.
Multi-threaded software development.
Good understanding of TCP/IP network communications
Image processing experience
Basic electronics experience (e.g using oscilloscope, DMM)
Matlab/Python for numerical analysis
Source code version control experience (e.g. SVN, C++Git) .
TRAVEL REQUIRED
Regular travel between Aylesbury & Colchester dependent upon business needs. Some international travel to customer sites.
