Octagon Group are currently partnered with a world-leading technology provider of energy and sustainability solutions to hire a talented Software Engineer C# C++ to support their engineering activities within their company site in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
As a Software Engineer C# C++ you will utilise various coding languages whilst working on large scale company-critical applications which support physical processes and high-speed data analysis. As part of a wider multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role within the business, developing and maintaining a range of features to support the company’s applications which are of industry-leading standard. You will also have the opportunity to work with new technologies as the company transitions into a cloud-hosted environment.
Requirements for the Software Engineer C# C++ role in Stroud, Gloucestershire:
- Strong commercial development experience in C# and an appreciation of O.O. development/multithreaded applications
- Additional experience in C++ advantageous
- Experience with the Microsoft tech stack: WPF/WinForms/Visual Studio
- Full SDLC experience including maintenance and unit testing
- Knowledge of python, xml or additional web technologies advantageous
- Understanding of Version Control Systems, DevOps and Cloud-hosted software advantageous
