A leading research and development organisation, based in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire are seeking a bright and experienced Technical Author – Engineering to join their expanding team. With over 35 years in the industry and 40+ employees, this company offers job security, a fantastic working environment and career progression.
As the Technical Author – Engineering you will support production and design teams and be expected to write service manuals and quick start guides within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Skills / experience required for the Technical Author – Engineering job:
- An understanding of Mechanical CAD drawings, ideally with exposure to SolidWorks or a similar CAD package.
- Previous experience as a Technical Author within an engineering / manufacturing organisation, writing technical documentation and user manuals, etc.
- If you have written manuals for aerospace, defence, or security industries this would be beneficial but not essential.
