Job title: Trainee Mechanical Instrument Assembler

Role summary
You will be working in our Production Team where you will be responsible for precisely assembling, testing, and repairing parts and systems to satisfy customer orders. You will assemble mechanical parts and products to a high standard and to required specifications on a production order or assembly drawing. The role requires attention to detail, effective communication and teamworking, and a broad range of mechanical skills.
Key responsibilities
• Use diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment
• Complete production orders on time and to quality standards • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation as and when
required • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering
specification changes • Use hand tools and perform soldering as required • Perform ad hoc tasks as required • At all times, perform work in accordance with health and safety procedures
including maintaining a clean and safe work area
Essential requirements
• 1-2 years mechanical assembly experience or have a level 3 BTEC Mechanical qualification
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal • Must be able to follow instructions • Able to perform tasks accurately and thoroughly • Attention to detail • Good numeracy skills • Good IT skills including MS Office • Able to work to deadlines and plan work accordingly • Positive, flexible, and enthusiastic team player • You must be eligible to live and work in the UK
