A leading manufacturer of a range of complex electronic applications for the military and aerospace industries are searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Whitstable, Kent.
Our client is looking for a proactive Mechanical Design Engineer who will be responsible for the end-to-end design of new products and concepts in line with evolving business requirements. You’ll use CAD (Creo) and modern engineering processes to deliver robust and manufacturable designs. This is a hands-on technical role with a strong focus on product quality, production readiness, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities as an Mechanical Design Engineer in Whitstable.
- Produce high-precision 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications for manufacture.
- Manage multiple design projects aligned to NPI plans and milestones.
- Prepare manufacturing and process instructions for new products.
- Resolve design and manufacturing issues early in the development cycle.
- Support the development of test rigs and ensure compliance with design objectives.
- Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to refine design requirements.
Requirements as an Mechanical Design Engineer in Whitstable.
- BEng (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ design engineering experience, ideally in aerospace or automotive.
- Proficient in CREO or similar 3D CAD and PLM systems.
