Skilled Assembly Technician

The job role will include assembling and testing bespoke life safety control panels to specified procedures, to meet the customer’s requirement.

Skills, Experience and Person Specification

• A good understanding of electrical specifications and the ability to understand electrical schematic diagrams.
• Familiar with basic assembly techniques (including anti-static awareness, soldering, crimping, spiral wrapping).
• Versatile to use a range of hand tools – drilling, tapping, etc.
• Have a working knowledge of creating wiring harnesses from a schematic.
• Willing to learn new assembly techniques using a variety of equipment.
• Practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Good problem solving and team working skills. Also be able to work under own initiative.
• Preferably gained experience through a similar role.
