A market leading organisation based in Bedfordshire are looking for a Test Development Engineer to join a growing R&D team responsible for build tests for industrial control products. There is a particular focus on the specification, development, design, construction and commissioning of custom, purpose built test equipment solutions to meet the business objectives for the New Product Introduction process within a mix of products ranging from low to high volume intrinsically safe products.
Key responsibilities of the Test Development Engineer job:
- Responsible for the regular review of all newly deployed test equipment hardware and software during early phase manufacturing, ensuring effective operation whilst developing and maintaining production test procedures.
- To provide design for test input into the specification of new product designs.
- Development and support for regression test solutions for products in development.
- Creation of requirements specifications and robust statements of work against which suppliers can quote for the procurement of test equipment and software.
Key skills/experience required for the Test Development Engineer job:
- Experience with Software and Hardware within Test Engineering.
- Experience in Programming using LabView,
- An understanding of electronic analogue and digital circuits with fault finding / diagnosis experience
- Ideally a Knowledge of NI Teststand, C or C++, Labwindows CVI
